Display philosophy
the appearance of the Visual Ontology consists - besides the search in the Context Menu - essentially in three modalities:
modality | explanation | |
---|---|---|
browsing in advance: | from the initial ROOT node, a hold shows the next hierarchy, till reaching a leaf image display is down-up: * after the hold on a node, this latter will appear in the middle, * the incoming relations on the bottom, always together with a back reference to the ROOT * on top, a small number of outgoing relations plus a partition indicator of others connected | ![]() |
create a path: | clicking on a leaf image (without incoming relations), the display is expanded: * a possible and multiple PATH back towards the ROOT explains the essential relations leading to this leaf * an arbitrary right-click on one of these intermediate nodes shows its number of connections in a partition node * a hold displays its normal browsing environment the relations stop always at a “+” relation, which would lead to unsignificant nodes, like initial letters a PATH node is virtually connected which, in its title (shown on hover) contains the sequence of nodes and relations in textual form it is intended for further elaboration to obtain a verbal explanation of an image this node is registered in the neo4j-DB and contains in the property cypher the cypher for this path creation for the general interface actions goto the last version | ![]() |
questions: | the button questions on the Context Menu ![]() hovering some second over a question node gives some indication of the result of clicking (better holding) on this node - goto next question - search with the name | ![]() |
